Home > Research and Practice > Good measures for good schools > School resources, programs and facilities School resources, programs and facilities

Does your school district have the capacity to provide the programs, facilities, and curriculum that will assure students have sufficient opportunity to succeed? The questions you should be asking contained in this section can help you determine if students have access to pre-kindergarten programs, instructional technology, and high-level high school courses, and the facilities that will take students well into the 21st Century.

Note: The measures that appear in this guide feature at least national and comparable state data. We provide suggestions for finding other data at the local level that also represent good measures of success.

Questions you should be asking

What percent of our children are enrolled in pre-kindergarten?

Do our students have access to technology?

Do our students have access to rigorous high school courses and curricula?

Are our school classrooms and facilities adequate and up-to-date?
