Are your students getting everything they need to help them be successful in high school and beyond? The student attainment questions you should be asking help you to explore the relationships between active engagement in learning, instructional effectiveness, and retention for optimal achievement and success for all students.

Note: The measures that appear in this guide feature at least national and comparable state data. We provide suggestions for finding other data at the local level that also represents good measures of success.

Questions you should be asking

What courses do our students need to complete in order to graduate from high school?

Are our students graduating from high school?

How many of our students ultimately receive a high school credential?

Are our students enrolling in college?

How are our high school graduates performing in college and the workplace?
